Det. Rockfrug, Eol Thunder Slinger/Scout

Rockfrug had lived a busy if uneventful life in Sartar these past two years. He had followed his master, Mubbers the Shaman, here from distant Eol. The old Shaman had come to Dragon Pass in search of magical components and arcane knowledge to help in his development of a new and powerful magical sling stone. The Eol had long been reknowned as deadly accurate slingers who used enchanted bullets. Mubbers the Shaman was intent on developing a new enchantment to aid his people and make his reputation. A solitary man, he had only one student, a young Eoli orphan named Rockfrug who he had raised for many years.

Scouring the land, Mubbers eventually found the right spot for communing with the spirits and conducting his research. After obtaining permission from King Blackmor, he set up a lab in Lunar occupied Sartar, on Colymar lands. Eager to be a welcome guest, Mubbers maintained friendly relations with the Colymar and had even done Blackmor a good turn on occasion.

Rockfrug, now 21, was gaining confidence and skill and was proving useful to the old Shaman's research. There was no sign of trouble until one day Rockfrug returned to find the lab trashed and Mubbers dead, apparently murdered. Rockfrug tried in vain to revive his master, but the spirit was already gone. In shock over the loss of his mentor, Rockfrug rushed to inform his Colymar friends of the terrible crime. Since the Shaman had been living on Colymar lands under the King's protection, Blackmor initiated a thorough investigation. The Lunar Constabulary was also called in, but they were unable to solve the mystery. Was it a rival stealing the Shaman's secrets? A rogue Colymar who resented the Eoli's presence? Or had the Shaman stumbled upon a secret no man was meant to know?

In the course of the investigation, Rockfrug became close friends with several members of the Lunar Constabulary and decided to join them. He resolved to stay on in Sartar to solve the mystery of his master's death. Since Learning that Rockfrug had been orphaned for the second time, Blackmor decided to take the young Eoli under his protection and made him an honorary member of the tribe.
