Played in Redwood City, California (SF-BA), started in March 1996 and ended June 1996.
The name is in reference to Ars Magica from which the basic idea for this campaign is taken. The game is similar in many ways to Ars Magica, but it is still a RuneQuest game with RQ rules.
For those not familiar with Ars Magica, most PCs are sorcerers using a slightly modified version of the RQ III sorcery rules. The players have started a new sorcery society. They own a citadel and have a few troops. The players will be spending a lot of time training and the adventures will probably be the acquisition of money and increasing access to sorcery. Eventually, the sect will have many troops and possibly start influencing politics and power structures in the region.
