Regional Background: Altura (Northern Goblins)
This region has become more fertile over the last thousand years. But is not nearly as fertile as Apulia and the former Empire regions.
Arraman minor culture in the area, maginalized by the Galeric speakers. Arramani is heavily influenced by Galeric.
[What is the history of the Altura region prior to the goblin arrival]
Redwoods used to be common along the coast but have been deforested. All around the Gubros mountains and foothills have huge numbers of Giant Redwoods.

advanced all the way north to the fertile valley of Tusana and the metropolis
of Teresti. The faithful there impressed the hero and converted him to
the faith, an instrumental act that helped convert most goblins to the
faith. The city of Teresti is a key pilgrimage location for all goblin
faithful to this day. |

Towering Golden Group: [Mazana = hard] Spirit magic only with Siz Enhance Ritual (1 pow = 2 siz). They have little armor (because they are poor and many). They use Protection spells a lot. They can fade in and out of Fairie. They have an extremely dangerous reputation. They will send an emmissary to negotiate threats to their food supply and magical income. |

Mazoto Monastic Sect: [Mazoto = zealous] Mountain warrior monks. Naginata, very motivated, spiritually focused, magical ability to self heal with one round of no action (each personal MP=HP healed). Zen monks, will not share, recently militarized, meditate and follow local mountain spirit, many apprentices freeze to death on the mountains, fatalistic outlook (Mishima), can brew MP restore potions, but all are tithed to headquarters. Will pay good money or other for MP potions ingredients. Boon to one player with MP ingredients. |

Nunnery of Saint Lucia, Mahery Sect: [Mahery = heroic] Group of human sorcerer nuns who follow same path of monkhood as the Mazoto Monastic Sect. About a hundred years ago a female ex-gladiator who entered the monastary and bested the five Grandmasters and joined the sect. For the first ten years, and she learned everything and became Grandmaster herself (the fastest ever.) But as Grandmaster she became distruptive and was sent away. She formed her own nunnery, mainly attracting the militant noble daughters of the coastal clans, where naginatas are cultural weapons for women. Because they are separate, the nuns do not tithe MP Restore potion ingredients to the main temple. Her two daughters still lead the nunnery, Sophia the Abbess and Ana the Grandmaster. |
