Game of merchantile adventure, mafioso thuggery, political dealing, and hatchet jobs.

Players represent members of an extended merchant family living in the city of Avalon on the island of Majorca. Gherardo Lamberti leads the family and is nicknamed Grandfather by everyone on the island for being the oldest human (aged 74). The Lamberti family owns fishing vessels, the slaughterhouse, a warehouse, and is important in the Guild of Majorca.

The goal of the players is to solidify the position of the Lamberti family on the island of Majorca. A solid position will allow the family to exploit the recently discovered and still secret gold mine on the island. Using this gold the family can become one of the predominant merchantile families of the Inland Sea.
