Other information for this campaign can be found on the Guederia Page, but this is the original version, without the modifications I made to reflect the changes that led up to the Vetubræ and Gabba Campaigns.
The characters are the secular and non-secular leaders in a semi-communal and certainly cooperative town on the edge of the empire, adjacent to a vast untamed wilderness, just granted to them by the Queen of Kal'at. The character goals are to improve the livelihood of the community. This means they will seek out and destroy threats to the community's members, whether physical, spiritual, or otherwise.
But, when Arama was discovered, colonization of Uti dropped to a trickle and many of the inhabitants of the Gil'adi-Tukr Mountain region left for Arama. About a hundred years ago, the decline leveled out and Tukr and Gil'adi were the size of towns. The towns of the area either disappeared or became villages.
Within the last one hundred years, the region has become wild again and the Orcs along the coast have become more active in exploring the mountains surrounding their coastal plains. The Nisava temple of Gil'adi is the strongest power in the region, but the Queen Iselda of Kal'at has, until recently, been the official ruler of the region.
The actual reserve is a mixed area of forest, forested hills, small areas of plains, and mountains. In the center is the large Lac Moor. The Reserve Wardens are forest rangers and local militia that have served the Regent of Gil'adi Wood for a long time. They now fall under the command of Captain Müller.
Relations with the Aldryami to the south are to be kept in good standing, not only because they are a powerful group in the region, but also because the Elf Queen and the Kal'at Queen are friends.
