Members of Lupus Magnifico staying at the Malatesta Covenant have the idea of causing the downfall of an infamous necromancer who lives on the Adriatic Coast of Croatia. The members of Lupus Magnifico get most of their Vis from expeditions to the lands of this necromancer and steal from patches of Vis there.

Adventure Background

The Necromancer, Magi Pietro Sdrin of house Jerbiton, follows the traditions of the Grecian Magi. Magi Sdrin lives near the coastal city of Rab in the Duomo's Bell Tower. Strangely for a necromancer, he is a christian who is tied in with the Venitian political and military establishment. He also has a townhouse in Venice, like many of the Roman Tribunal magi and often sends apprentices to trade Vis he acquires for other types.

The Lords of Croatia, the Subich family who are the Counts of Bribir operate more inland, beyond the domination of the Venetian military. The Subich family does have strong ties to Rab and continually look for ways to expand their power.
